Hyundai ix25 sub-compact SUV's picture leaked

The image of Hyundai's new sub-compact SUV ix25 has been leaked on web, which is scheduled to be unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show. Posted by an Italian blog, the leaked image confirms that ix25 gets clues from the ix35. The wrap-around headlight clusters and aggressive lower air intakes housing the fog lights are similar to that found on the ix35.(Also read: Why Hyundai ix25 doesn't make sense for India?)

Following the company's new design philosophy, the chromed hexagonal grille distinguishes the new ix25 from its larger sibling. With robust and aggressive styling, the new ix25 will take on the Duster. Under the joint venture/ collaboration of BAIC and Hyundai, the sub-compact SUV will be manufactured in China

The new ix25 might share the platform and engines with the next-gen i20 hatchback, and will be powered with the 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol motors along with a new 1.4-litre turbo diesel engine. Targeting the world's largest automotive market, Hyundai is planning to launch the ix25 in China just after it's unveiling. For the Indian market, Hyundai might develop a new SUV based on the Grand i10 platform.
