The Mahindra XUV300 won our last subcompact SUV shootout, defeating the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon. So we simply had to pit it against the new Hyundai Venue. But the Venue will need to shatter more than just benchmarks if it has to do well, which means taking on the market leader Vitara Brezza is also vital.
