Verdict

With the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor, Tata has fixed its biggest shortcoming and made the Harrier accessible to a much wider audience now. Its suspension feels robust as ever, the massive rear-seat space is segment-leading, and the five-star rating means it can handle most of whatever challenging Indian road conditions throw at it. The distracting HVAC controls and inconsistent service standards at service centers can bother some,but for the most part, the Harrier’s toughness and loaded tech kit will overshadow everything else.

While you have to accept the learning curve of a buttonless dashboard, the exceptional ride comfort and refined engine options from this vehicle make it a very practical option in the luxury SUV space.
