About Automatic Cars

Types Of Automatic Cars

  1. Automated Manual Transmission:
The most prevalent automatic automobiles on Indian roads are AMT autos, also known as a semi-automatic gearbox. AMT automobiles are a basic update of your manual gear cars with a few design adjustments, other from being inexpensive cost. This automatic vehicle is suitable for purchasers who wish to have the best of both worlds: good fuel efficiency and minimal maintenance costs.
  2. Torque converter automatic:
This is the most common type of automatic gearbox in automobiles. A hydraulic fluid or torque converter coupled to the engine's electronic control unit will allow the torque converter automatic gearbox to take control of the car.
  3. Continuously variable transmission:
A CVT provides for an "infinite" number of gear ratios, allowing a vehicle to accelerate without having to change gears. CVTs use variable-width pulleys and a belt instead of fixed gears.
  4. Dual-clutch transmission:
A manual transmission is quite similar to a dual-clutch transmission or direct-shift gearbox. On the other hand, a dual-clutch transmission is controlled by the car's computer and has two clutches instead of one. The odd gears are controlled by one clutch, while the even gears are controlled by the other.
  5. Intelligent Manual Transmission:
IMT offers a complete clutch-free manual gearbox with no clutch pedal, which is one of the most recent breakthroughs in automatic autos. IMT detects a gear shift and engages your clutch automatically using automated sensors and actuators. IMT is suitable for those who want the convenience of a fully automated vehicle.

It is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated Revotron petrol engine that develops 84.48 BHP and is paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT transmission.
  3. Skoda Octavia-
The Skoda Octavia's quick-shifting 7-speed DSG gearbox is one of the best transmissions ever installed in a car sold in the country. Thanks to its gearbox and the 2.0-litre 187.74 horsepower turbocharged petrol engine, the Skoda Octavia is a terrific driver's car.
  4. Honda City-

Things to Know Before Buying an Automatic Car

Due to the comfort, performance, and efficiency offered by automatic cars, car purchasers have begun to shift to them over time. Here are three major reasons why consumers are increasingly purchasing automatic vehicles:

Increased Convenience

It is very convenient to operate a car with automatic transmission. Thanks to its comfort, your daily commutes will be less stressful, and outstation trips will be more delightful.  Car drivers no longer have to deal with bumper-to-bumper traffic thanks to the clutch-pedal-less operation.

Great fuel efficiency

The automatic transmissions available in the car lineup have been modified to provide improved fuel efficiency in a variety of driving terrains and circumstances.
