Paris Motor Show 2016: Suzuki S-Cross Facelift Unveiled

- The Suzuki S-Cross will have a variety of engine options to choose from
- The S-Cross facelift will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show
- India is likely to get the S-Cross facelift by mid 2017 with updates

Suzuki SX4 S-Cross Facelift Front
The 2017 Suzuki SX4 S-Cross now comes with a new face, and an even fresher set of engine options to go along with it. The droopy look of the car has been done away with it and that's good because the all new look makes the S-Cross looks bolder. The front grille has been given a more prominent distinction and is lined in chrome (plastic) fixtures. The headlights are now more distinguishable with LED fitments and the taillights follow suit with standard LED bulbs. There's a more rugged black plastic diffuser and the ground clearance at 180mm remains unchanged.
The cabin remains almost unchanged as it uses soft-touch materials and framing highlights for the centre control panel. There is some new fabric too and a double sliding panoramic glass sunroof, which is one of the largest in the segment. The 2017 S-Cross comes with features like satellite navigation, a rear parking camera, front and rear parking proximity sensors, and dual automatic climate control. There are also daytime running lights, which are more prominent now and heated door mirrors.

Suzuki SX4 S-Cross Facelift Side Profile
The biggest change, however, is under the hood and the S-Cross will follow the footsteps of the Baleno. In the European market, the 2017 S-Cross will be the third car to receive a range of Boosterjet engine options. The base 1.0-litre turbocharged engine delivers 111bhp and 170Nm of torque. Then there's the 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine which produces 138bhp and 220Nm torques and finally 1.6-litre diesel which is already available in India and it punches out 118bhp and 320Nm of torque. Mind you there's also the 89bhp churning 1.3-litre diesel on offer but with the introduction of a petrol variant will certainly help in expanding its portfolio.

2017 Suzuki SX4 S-Cross Facelift
In the European markets, the 2017 S-Cross will come with a four-mode AllGrip system that allows the S-Cross to traverse gravel, rock, and/or mud. However, India won't get this version, though we'd love to see it. We expect the S-Cross facelift to hit Indian shores by the middle of next year and the major thing to look at here will be the new look as also the engine options.
