Volvo is all set to launch a new XC60 in India and the company is doing all it can to cater to the SUV segment in India. The XC60 has been around in India for a while and according to the folks at Volvo, it has been one of the most successful products in the country. A third of the company's sales come from the XC60 and Volvo wants to keep that number intact with the new second generation car. The new-gen XC60 goes on sale tomorrow but we already know a lot about the car and here's all you need to know about the car.

- The second-generation Volvo XC60 introduced early this year at the Geneva Motor Show, while its production began in Sweden in April.
- The new XC60 is the third model from the Swedish car maker to be based on the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform that currently underpins the company's flagship SUV, Volvo XC90 and the S90 sedan.
- The XC60 will be offered in only one - 'Inscription' variant which will be loaded to the brim with features
- The second generation XC60 is marginally wider, longer and shorter than its predecessor, making it a perfect size for a city car.

- The XC60 gets a 2-litre diesel D5 engine which churns out 233 bhp and 480 Nm.
- The XC60 gets cooled/ heated front seats with a massage function, which are in fact a segment first offering
- It gets a 9.0-inch centre Sensus touchscreen system which has been tweaked for better usability
- The XC60 comes with driver assist features as well like 360-degree camera, semi-automatic parking, blind-spot assist and lane departure warning. In fact, the Volvo XC60 will also feature radar-based safety features like adaptive cruise control
- Expect Volvo to price the XC60 at around Rs. 55 lakh (ex-showroom).
- The Volvo XC60 will continue to rival the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, BMW X3 and the Jaguar F-Pace.
