2018 Lexus RX 350L Teased Ahead Of LA Auto Show Debut

- The new RX 350L will be a three-row SUV
- Lexus will also showcase the RX 450hL hybrid at LA
- It will take on the BMW X5 Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7
A few years ago, it was rumored that Lexus is working on a new three row variant of the RX crossover. Now, the Japanese car-makers have finally put all those rumors to rest as they have teased the tail light section of the all-new RX 350L, with its official debut set to be at the upcoming LA Auto Show. Moreover, the company also announced that the hybrid model, the RX 450hL, will also be revealed alongside. More details will be announced at the LA Auto Show, which takes place at the end of this month.

While, Lexus has not revealed much details of the new 350L variant, it is for sure a three-row, which was sorely missing from the company's line-up for all these years. With this, Lexus can now take on the BMW X5 Volvo XC90 and Audi Q7.
According to reports, the new RX 350L will have similar wheelbase as the standard RX SUV. However, it will be slightly extended to accommodate the third row. However, will it be comfortable with 2 or passengers, is still unclear. This will, however, give the RX 350L that extra room for luggage in the boot.

Under the hood, RX 350L will have the same engine as the RX 350 variant. This means, a 3.5L V6 engine with 290 BHP will power the RX 350L's front-wheel drive. The new variant might also have the AWD as an option.
In India, Lexus opened its shop in March this year, with the launch of the RX SUV, LX SUV, RC F roadster and the ES sedan. Now, the company is preparing to launch yet another product, the 2017 Lexus NX 300h on November 17. While, we have the RX model in India, only time will tell if we will also get the new RX 350L variant.
