Next Offering From Lexus Could Be The NX 300h

Lexus is gearing up to launch a new car in the Indian market on November 17, and the new model is expected to be the NX 300h hybrid SUV. The company has been quite secretive about the new product and said no comments when we tried to confirm, but judging by the front silhouette of the car in the official invite, it's quite identical to the NX 300h, specifically the F Sport trim. Globally the Lexus NX 300h is the company's smallest SUV and is likely to be positioned below the RX450h hybrid SUV in India, which is already on sale in the country.

Lexus India started its operations early this year in March 2017, with the launch of the ES 300h hybrid sedan and the RX450h, followed by the introduction of the LX 450d full-size SUV. In fact, the company has also started offering the RC F sports car on special order and now the company is launching a new product again.

As the Lexus NX 300h name suggests, we will be getting the hybrid version of the car which is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor that produces a combined output of 194 bhp. The motor comes paired to an electronically controlled CVT unit and the car runs on pure electric or petrol or a combination of both. The engine will remain the same, but we will get the top-end F Sport trim option as well.

Lexus NX 300h gets stylish LED taillamps, sporty wheels and more
Styling wise, the NX 300h comes with the signature Lexus grille and the logo comes with a blue backlight to signify its hybrid nature. The SUV comes with sharp LED headlamps and independent LED daytime running lamps below them. The aggressive front bumper house the round LED foglamps housed L-shaped plastic cladding and there are some subtle character lines along the bonnet and the profile. The wheel flared arched get plastic cladding, there are side skirts and roof rails as well. The rear end comes with sharp wraparound LED taillamps, roof-mounted spoiler and a rear diffuser as well.
