3M Car Care Launches New Range of Car Wraps

Besides jazzing up your car, 3M claims that the wraps are extremely functional as well. The wraps come with a dual layered, removal cast film which is coated with a pressure-activated adhesive. This allows the film to slide across the car's surface, making it easy for the installer to re-position a particular section. The wrap doesn't stick until firm pressure is applied. Additionally, 3M has also ensured that the film has been engineered to wrap and conform to even the most complicated sections of a car's body such as side rear view mirrors. The film has also been designed to have invisible air release channels that help installers apply the wrap quickly and without the hassle of air-bubbles appearing during the application.
The wrap films are also printed with a UV protective layer which protects the original paintwork of the vehicle. Furthermore, the film can be removed at any point over the following 3 years. This allows you to change the look of your car easily and at your own convenience.
The wraps cost upwards of Rs 4,500 and are available across a range of 3M Car Care outlets in India. The wraps can take anywhere between 3 to 7 days to install, depending on complexity and number of sections that you want to get wrapped. Currently there are 65 3M outlets spread across 18 cities in India - Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Cochin, Gurgaon, New Delhi, Nashik, Nagpur, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Raipur and Kolhapur, Ludhiana, Salem and Mangalore. The company has been in India since 1988 and has its headquarters in Bengaluru.
