All-New BMW X7 Teased; Launch in 2019

Codenamed F17, the new three-row SUV for the Bavarian carmaker is based on the same CLAR platform that has underpinned the latest 7 Series. As the car showcased in the image is completely under covers there aren't any specific details in regards to its design and exterior features that we can talk about. That said judging by the silhouette of the car you can see muscular character lines that run across the X7, the large overhangs, beefy bonnet and what looks like a new larger bumper. Another factor that is very noticeable is the fact that the X7 is substantially larger than the X5, which means the new BMW X7 will offer more room inside the cabin, even for those sitting on the rearmost seats.
As for the interior, as mentioned earlier, the X7 will share most of its features with the new 7 Series. In fact if reports are to be believed the SUV will be even more luxurious than the latter. In addition to that there are also talks about an uber-luxurious version of the new BMW X7 that will be introduced later in the products life-cycles. This exclusive version will lose the third row and will be turned into a four-seater with individual seats featuring ventilation, heating, and massaging functions. There's also going to be a rear-seat entertainment system and a full-length center console to further differentiate it from the seven-seat X7.
In engine department, the new BMW X7 will likely get the same powertrain that does duty on the BMW's flagship sedan. Moreover the X7 will also get the top-of-the line V12, which will also make it the first X model to get one.
