Audi's smallest crossover SUV, which broke cover at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, recently made an appearance at the Bogota Motor Show in Colombia. Aimed at a "younger audience", the Audi Q2 comes sporting a bold new styling direction that "exhibits an independent character within the Q family". While already on sale in Europe, Audi's fourth SUV is scheduled to be launched in India next year.

The Audi Q2 is 4.19 metres long, 1.79 metres wide, 1.51 metres tall and its wheelbase measures 2.60 metres. The new Audi's SUV's progressive new design includes a high-mounted Singleframe octagonal grille, large air inlets, long roof spoiler, a diffuser. It is further complemented by the low roof that merges into the C-pillars and the concave flanks in the door area.

Inside, the Q2 offers a firm interior design, large-area inlays with optional backlighting, a large luggage compartment with a capacity of 405 - 1,050 litres of capacity), power tailgate, and a three-way split rear bench backrest with cargo through-loading. The list of provisions for comfort, convenience, and entertainment include a touchpad, Audi virtual cockpit, head-up display, smartphone interface, Bang & Olufsen sound system, etc.. The SUV also gets driver assistance systems such as Audi pre sense front with pedestrian detection, Adaptive cruise control with Stop&Go and Traffic Jam Assist, Audi Active Lane Assist, cross-traffic assist rear and emergency assist.

While the gets a myriad of engine options internationally, it is expected to come powered by the 114bhp 1.0-litre TFSI petrol and the 2.0-litre TDI diesel in two states of tune. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual and a seven-speed S tronic. Ready to go up against names like the upcoming Jeep C-SUV and the recently-launched Hyundai Tucson, the Audi Q2's price is expected to range between Rs. 20 lakh - Rs. 25 lakh in India.
