Toyota has been a leading constructor in motorsports since 1972. Starting out with small local rallies, Toyota gained continuous success in World Rally Championships during that decade and this led to it creating an all-purpose motorsports facility in Cologne in the 80s. From there on, Toyota branched to other motorsports including Formula One, NASCAR, Indy Car, WRC, and Le Mans. Toyota withdrew from Formula One in 2009, but it continues to play manufacturer for Toyota Racing Series, NHRA, USAC, Super GT, NASCAR, Super Formula, Formula Three, the WRC and the WEC.
Ford
NASCAR, Indy Car, and WRC are some of the motorsports that Ford is currently engaged in. Ford Performance is a high-end division of Ford that is explicitly dedicated to racing vehicles and components. Ford Motor Company returned to racing with a bang in the 1960s with its "Total Performance" campaign. Today, there is no imagining motorsports without this automaker and its contribution.
Chevrolet
Though Chevrolet might not be as active as Mercedes or Ford in motorsports, you can still spot the automaker in IndyCar and NASCAR. Chevy Motorsports is an iconic name in motorsport events. Since the brand entered motorsports, it has dedicated its resources and efforts towards developing innovation for racing cars.

However, Honda again withdrew at the end of 2021. Currently Honda is involved in MotoGP, WTCR, Super GT, Super Formula, IndyCar, IMSA, BTCC, Formula 3, Formula 4, off-road, WSBK, EWC, MXGP, TrialGP and various different GT3 and TCR series.
