Sachin Tendulkar Launches New BMW 7-Series; Priced at Rs. 1.1 Crore

Unveiled by Master-Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, the new-generation BMW 7-Series flagship saloon made its India debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. Priced between Rs. 1.1 crore - Rs. 1.5 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new BMW 7 Series sedan is based on the all-new Cluster Architecture (CLAR) Rear Wheel Drive platform. However, the saloon isn't dramatically different than the outgoing version in terms of dimensions but does get an evolved design language and looks sharper and more sophisticated. The new generation BMW 7-Series gets a larger and wider kidney grille with Active Aero function for improved fuel efficiency, bulging hood with neat character lines and a strong shoulder line running up till the LED tail lamps. The new model also gets Laserlight headlamps as optional from the i8 adding to the oomph factor of the Bavarian saloon. The cabin is equally appealing and loaded on the new 7-Series decked up in high quality materials with more room liberated. BMW has used carbon fibre, steel, aluminium, and plastic in its construction calling it carbon core structure and has achieved 200 kg in weight savings. In terms of features, the model gets an upgraded 5.0-inch iDrive system with touchscreen and gesture control added for the first time. The easy-to-use control knob still remains in its place. The leather upholstered seats get massage and ventilation function for enhanced comfort while additional bits include heated doors and armrests. New BMW 7 Series Also new on the 2017 BMW 7-Series include an updated instrument console with 3D graphics and a Head-up Display unit. Furthermore, the feature list on the new 7-Series also includes an air suspension, Remote Control Parking and Road Preview predictive adaptive suspension. Powertrain options include petrol and diesel mills, with the 3.0-litre diesel engine tuned to produce 265PS and is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The generation model to will be locally assembled at the Chennai based facility that helps keep the prices relatively lower.
