- Sonakshi Sinha says that she is essentially an SUV girl
- Sonakshi thinks that everyone should switch to electric soon
- The DC TCA is a mid-engined sports car that will be limited to 299 units
Apart from some stunning concepts and exciting launches, Auto Expo 2018 also saw a host of celebrities descend at the expo grounds in Greater Noida. Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha was at the stall of leading Indian auto design house DC. Sonakshi was at the event to unveil DC's latest creation - the DC TCA sports car, a new a mid-engined premium sports car which takes inspiration from the Ferrari La Ferrari and the Pagani Zonda. But Sonakshi had a lot on her mind besides the stunning debutante. She told us that she is essentially an SUV girl, and on how electric mobility is really important for India. Sharing her views on electric mobility and electric cars for India, Sonakshi Sinha said, "It (electric vehicles) is the need of the hour! I think everyone should switch to electric, and honestly, they need to do it now. We don't need to add more pollution to the environment when we can do it, when there is an alternative and we have found it, discovered it, and there are cars that are functioning on it, so why can't we make all of them electric?"

Sonakshi Sinha says - "We don't need to add more pollution to the environment."
While DC Design did not have an electric car for us at its stall, this year's auto expo had quite a few electric vehicles on display from various new and existing automakers. The motor show saw both electric concepts as well as near-production models like - Mercedes EQ Concept, Tata RaceMo Electric, BMW i3S, Hyundai Ioniq, Suzuki e-Survivor, Renault Trezor Concept EV, and the most recent Uniti Electric car concept. In fact, some of these models are expected to hit the Indian market in next few years.

The DC TCA is a mid-engined sports car and will enter production in October 2018
Speaking about the new DC TCA concept, Sonakshi Sinha said, "Honestly I am really happy about this car. We don't see many Indian companies making cars like these, and look at it, it's beautiful, it's stunning and I am very very happy just to be here because it's made by an Indian company, by an Indian man, for Indians and I hope that I really picks up and does very well." The new DC TCA will be powered by a 3.8-litre engine churning out more than 300 bhp and is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The production of the TCA will begin in October and the car is a limited edition model. There will be only 299 units made and each will be personally signed by the creator Dilip Chhabria himself. Sonakshi was last seen in Karan Johar production Ittefaq co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Akshaye Khanna.
