Bajaj V15 Sales Crosses 1.6 Lakh Mark; New Ocean Blue Colour Introduced

- Bajaj has sold over 1.6 lakh units of the V15 since its launch
- It has aided the growth of Bajaj Auto's share in the 125+cc segment
- Bajaj is considering the addition of two new bikes under the V brand
Bajaj V15, the popular premium commuter bike from the home-grown two-wheeler manufacturer recently crossed the 1.6 lakh sales mark in India. Bajaj has also introduced a new Ocean Blue colour option for the V15 amidst its ongoing Ad campaign that calls for Indians to celebrate National pride every day. With the addition of the new Blue colour, the Bajaj V15 is now available in a total of four colour option that includes the existing - Heroic Red, Ebony Black and Pearl White.
Talking about this new Ad campaign, Sumeet Narang, Vice-President, Marketing, Motorcycles, Bajaj Auto, says, "With the V, we are not just selling motorcycles but celebrating the pride of the nation. Consumers are also playing back this feeling of pride. The new campaign takes the proposition forward and talks about how the V helps you experience pride every day, and not just on select occasions of national significance."

Bajaj V15 Ocean Blue Colour
The Bajaj V15 was launched in India early this year in March 2016 and by July 2016 the bike crossed the one lakh sales mark. Now, within two months Bajaj has sold over 60,000 units of the bike, which is a commendable feat. Moreover, the company is very optimistic about the ongoing festive season and hopes to cross the 2 lakh sales milestone before the end of this year. And given the Bajaj V's success in India, the company is already considering the launch of 2 new bikes under the V brand by the end of the 2017-18 fiscal.
Coming to the bike itself, as we had mentioned in our review, the Bajaj V15 is essentially a quirky looking motorcycle with a large contoured fuel tank with 'Made from INS Vikrant's Metal' mark on the fuel cap, a sharp tail section, a segment-first removable cowl, etc.. It comes powered by a 149.5cc, single-cylinder, 4- stroke, SOHC 2 valve, air-cooled, DTS-i engine that churns out 12bhp at 7500 rpm along with a peak torque of 13Nm at 5500rpm.
