Bentley Appoints Richard Leopold As Regional Director For UK, Middle East, Africa And India

- Richard Leopold has 20 years of experience in the automotive industry
- He replaces Sarah Simpson who leaves Bentley to join Porsche GB as CEO
- Leopold has served in senior leaderships positions at Bentley Motors
Bentley Motors has announced appointing Richard Leopold as its Regional Director for UK, Middle East, Africa and India, effective September 3, 2021. Leopold replaces Sarah Simpson who leaves the company to join Porsche GB as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Sarah Simpson has worked for the Volkswagen Group for more than 20 years, of which the past decade had been with Bentley Motors. Before this, Leopold served as Global Sales and Network Director position for Bentley's sales planning, operations and retailer development around the world.

Richard Leopold began his automotive career with Saab Automobile and joined Bentley in 2017 as Director of Product Marketing. He then moved to China as Brand and Marketing Director playing a crucial role in establishing the region as one of Bentley's largest markets. As part of a career that spans two decades in the automotive industry, Leopold has been successful in a wide range of leadership roles, ranging from Head of Bentley Russia and Global Sales and Network Director.

Richard joined Bentley in 2007 when he assumed the role of Director of Product Marketing.
Alain Favey, Bentley's Member of the Board for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, commented, "Richard has an innate understanding of the Bentley brand and the regional activities around the world so is perfectly placed to build on Sarah's outstanding contribution to the business. I have no doubt that he will help develop the key regions now under his responsibility as we look to transform our global business to become the leader in sustainable luxury mobility."
