Bike Makers With Factory Teams In MotoGP

- Ducati-Lenovo team won the last 2 championships & is moving up the charts

Repsol Honda

Ranking at fourth position, the Repsol Honda team did not make it to the top 3. That does not change the fact that this is the first name to cross our minds when we talk about motorcycles or racing. The current MotoGP bike for Repsol Honda, the RC213V is powered by a 1000cc DOHC V4 engine producing 256BHP. Off lately, the V4 engine configuration is used by Honda only in its MotoGP bike and no other production motorcycle.

Monster Energy Yamaha

Monster Energy Yamaha is a dream team for many. 2021 has been a special year for the team after the retirement of Valentino Rossi. The team hasn't moved off the top 3 list for many seasons and the winning streak continues in 2021 as well. Yamaha currently uses the Yamaha YZR-M1 on the track. Powered by a 1000cc inline-4 engine, the YZR-M1 is benefited by Yamaha's patented cross-plane crankshaft. Owing to these advantages, the YZR-M1 produces 249BHP of power.
Suzuki

Winning races since 1962, Suzuki is the third-best MotoGP team of all time. The last time Suzuki won a championship was more than 2 decades ago but that doesn't take away from the number of podium finishes it has secured. It made it to the top 3 this season. The team is using the Suzuki GSX-RR since 2015. Sharing its inline-4 cylinder configuration with the Yamaha, the 1000cc powerplant produces 237+BHP of power.

Ducati

Being expensive is not the only characteristic of Ducati bikes. Their MotoGP team has won the last 2 championships. Tying hands with Lenovo, the Ducati-Lenovo team is moving up the charts in MotoGP. The Ducati Desmosedici is used by the team for MotoGP. With a V4 engine configuration and the Ducati patented Desmodromic DOHC, the 1000cc engine produces 250+ BHP

KTM

Being the new kid on the block, the KTM team began its MotoGP journey in 2017. Despite being a new team, they have managed to make it in the top 5 MotoGP teams The team uses the RC16. Powering this bike is a 1000cc V4 engine. This engine, with its pneumatic spring and gear driven DOHC valvetrain, manages to churn out 265+ BHP of power.
