BMW i7 Teaser Reveals Panoramic 8K Theatre Screen

- The i7 is said to have a cutting edge 8K screen
- The 8K screen is mounted on the roof for the backseat
- It will be based on the iX and could have higher range
BMW is about the reveal its flagship EV, the i7 and now as one of the teasers for the vehicle, the German automotive giant is teasing an 8K theatre screen with a panoramic view. The screen is superimposed on the top roof of the screen mounted where the panoramic sunroof is usually.
It has been revealed to have an 8K resolution and will perhaps be a window into a multitude of streaming services like Amazon Prime Video, Twitch, Red Bull, and Amazon Music amongst others.

The EV is expected to be revealed on April 20
This is not the first teaser for the i7 which reportedly shares its powertrain with the iX M60 which has been shown off already. This car will reportedly offer up to 610 bhp and 1,100-newton meters of torque but will likely be lighter and more aerodynamic than the SUV iX.
The iX already claims 490 km of range and thanks to its more aerodynamic form, the i7 could be set to breach the 500 km mark but this number would be lower than the EQS which is the EV flagship from its Stuttgart based rival Mercedes Benz.
The car is set to be unveiled on April 20 via live stream and could come with a set of whiz-bang gadgetry.
