BMW Unveils X5 Special Edition And X6 M Sport Edition
Highlights
- Both cars have been unveiled in Europe
- They get extra features over the standard models
- No clarity on whether these cars will come to India
BMW took the wraps off the X5 special edition and the X6 M Sport edition globally. Starting with the X5 special edition, it gets Dakota leather upholstery along with heated seats for the driver and the front passengers. The seats also get the 'M' badging. One can choose between Alcantara/leather upholstery, which is available on Anthracite/Black or Merino leather in five colours. Added features include sun-protected glass all around and a multi-function instrument display (not on offer in the X5 xDrive40e iPerformance variant).
The X6 M Sport edition gets a signature blue metallic exterior paint shade along with carbon-fibre trims and some exclusive M-Sport edition bits. The SAC (sports activity coupe) gets 20-inch M light-alloy wheels with a double-spoke design and runflat tyres. Additionally, one can also ask BMW to fit the same alloys as 21-inch units as well. All engine variants of the X6 can be ordered with the M-Sport edition specifications. Only the BMW X6 M50d is an exception.
Both cars will be available for sale in Europe from December 2017 and there is no clarity on whether these special edition cars will be launched in India or not.
