Darwin Platform Group Enters EV Space With Electric 2-Wheelers

- Darwin EVAT has launched three electric two-wheelers.
- These electric two-wheelers can go up to 70-120 km on a single charge.
- The company would initially invest nearly Rs. 450 Crore in this project.
Darwin Platform Group of Companies (DPGC) has entered the electric two-wheelers segment with its new Darwin EVAT brand. Darwin EVAT has launched three electric two-wheelers - Darwin D-5, D- 7 and D-14 in India and is claiming to be one of the most technically advanced electric two-wheelers in their respective segments. The EVs are equipped with keyless go, regenerative braking, speed control gear, battery swapping, large LED display, USB mobile charger port and hazard switch among others.

With a single charge, these electric two-wheelers can go up to 70-120 km.
DPGC Group CEO Dr Raja Roy Choudhury said, "Global automotive industry is in a transition phase and shifting towards electric mobility and in India, this transition has started to pick up the pace. - Darwin EVAT aims to contribute more to this electric revolution. Our EV segment was born with the idea of "Class Leading Products" that also promotes Green Revolution - an Eco-friendly Initiative."

With a single charge, these electric two-wheelers can go up to 70-120 km. The manufacturing plant is located in Delhi-NCR would and provides an integrated ecosystem for Manufacturing and Testing, Vehicle Assembly, and Vehicle End of Line Testing (EOL). The company is also open for collaboration for technological advancements and will setup its research and development unit as well.
