New Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS Booking Date Revealed

- Baleno RS bookings to begin on February 27
- Booking amount for Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS - Rs 11,000
- Baleno RS to come with 1.0 litre turbocharged three cylinder engine
2017 is a packed year for Maruti Suzuki. With the Ignis already launched last month and showcasing brisk sales, the next car from India’s largest automaker is targeted at a slightly different audience that Maruti has overlooked in the past – the motoring enthusiast! The Baleno RS will be the first hot hatch from the automaker and will feature a turbocharged 1.0 litre engine making about 100 bhp. And unlike a few other similarly powered hot hatchbacks, the Baleno RS will also come with a manual.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS Spied
So, would you like to buy one? Well, here is some more exclusive news! Pre bookings for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno RS will begin on February 27 and the booking amount will be Rs 11,000. We recently told you about how the car was officially launching on March 3 and as with all Maruti products, the Baleno RS does have a waiting period. Currently, dealers are pegging it between 4-6 weeks for an early booking and eventually higher waiting periods for cars booked later.
In terms of visual updates, the Baleno RS gets a set of larger and sportier front bumpers with a bumper lip or lip spoiler that is painted in a contrasting grey colour. The RS also gets a set of grey side skirts to tie up the look and a different rear bumper with a set of added faux vents. The rear bumper too gets the contrast grey paint treatment. The spy shots of the car indicate that the Baleno RS will continue to get the same 16-inch wheels that the standard car gets but in a shade of black paint instead of the silver or grey that you get on the standard car. We do hope that Maruti Suzuki offers a set of optional wheels for the Baleno RS like they did on the Brezza. With Maruti’s recent push towards personalisation, it will be no surprise if the Baleno RS might also get included into the iCreate program which will allow potential buyers to customise their car before they take delivery of it.
