Fiat Avventura Crossover to be Launched in October

Fiat India that launched the much awaited Punto Evo in India on August 5, 2014, is now planning to bring in the Avventura crossover by October, 2014. Unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo as a concept, the Avventura is a rugged version of the Punto that will take on the likes of Volkswagen Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross. Other product that the company is planning to launch is the Abarth 500 that will arrive in the market by December, 2014.
Compared to the Punto Evo, the Avventura definitely looks more aggressive, thanks to the roof rails, rear-mounted spare wheel, side cladding with 'Avventura' inscribed on it and several other changes. That said, one ought to know that the car shares its platform, features and front design with the Punto.

The Avventura's cabin also looks sportier than the Punto Evo with a more premium upholstery, contrast stitching and better features. The car will also have an increased ride height optimised driving position, which will give a much clearer view to its driver.
The Avventura also shares its engine options with the Punto Evo; it features the same 1.3-litre multijet diesel and 1.4-litre FIRE petrol engine options found in the hatchback.
Although, the company hasn't officially revealed the pricing of the car, we expect it to be priced around Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
