Fiat India Teases the Avventura

Highlights
The day of the launch of the Fiat Avventura is not far away, for the company has now started teasing the new car on its website. The teaser image shows a preview of the inspiration behind the car's projector head-lamps. The front grille and bumper can also be seen in the picture.
The Avventura is based on the new Punto Evo, which will be launched next month. Additions to the Avventura include skid guards, plastic body claddings, roof rails and a spare wheel at the back. The company had showcased the Avventura at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and had promised that the car will be launched this year in India.
As far as the engine options are concerned, the Avventura will receive the same power units as the Punto Evo. The 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol and the 1.3-litre diesel will make its way under the hood. Though we saw a 6-speed manual gearbox in the car at the Expo, we think that the production car will get a 5-speed box.
Rivals for the Avventura are the Toyota Etios Cross and the Volkswagen CrossPolo.
