The new Honda XL750 Transalp is likely to be unveiled at the EICMA 2022 show in November.
Rumours of the Honda Transalp making a comeback have been going around for sometime now with confirmation of the Honda Transalp trademark coming earlier last year, in 2021. Initial reports indicated that Honda is working on the Transalp with a 850 cc engine, based on the Africa Twin platform, but it seems Honda has decided to use the new 750 cc platform, which will also be used in the new Honda Hornet, a streetfighter which will go up against the likes of the Triumph Trident 660, Kawasaki Z650 and Yamaha MT-07.

The previous Honda Transalp was manufactured between 1987 till 2008, with engine displacement ranging from 400 cc to 680 cc in the final Honda XL700V Transalp. The Transalp has always been more of a tarmac-oriented adventure touring bike, and that’s what the new Transalp is also expected to offer. While the new Honda Hornet is expected to make its debut at the EICMA 2022, Japanese publication Young Machine, which unearthed the trademark filings, indicates that the new Honda Transalp will also be showcased at the Milan motorcycle show.
