Jaguar C-X75 Driven by Felipe Massa Ahead of Spectre Premiere

The Jaguar C-X75 supercar made an appearance in Mexico City with a celebrity driver behind the wheel. It was none other than Williams' Formula One driver Felipe Massa who drove the car at an event to celebrate the premiere of the latest James Bond movie, Spectre, in the Americas and the Mexican F1 Grand Prix.
Felipe Massa, speaking after driving the concept car, said: "It was a thrill to take the wheel of a real stunt car used in a Bond movie. Jaguar partnered with Williams Advanced Engineering on the production of these stunning supercars, so it was great to experience some of what my colleagues have developed outside of F1. It was so much fun, and very exciting to be driving the Jaguar on a Spectre filming location in Mexico City."
Jaguar's concept car will be driven by latest Bond nemesis Hinx, played by actor Dave Bautista in the movie, in a high speed car chase against the super spy's new Aston Martin DB10.
The Mexican Grand Prix will be held on November 1 while Spectre's Americas premiere takes place on November 2.
Moving on to the specifications of the car, the C-X75 is the most advanced Jaguar so far and was built by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) in collaboration with development partner Williams Advanced Engineering.
The Jaguar C-X75 has a combined power output in excess of 633.84kW and 1000Nm of torque, thanks to its F1-inspired, 1.6-litre dual-boosted (turbocharged and supercharged) four-cylinder engine which generates 374.34kW at 10,000 rpm.

This engine is combined with one of the highest torque and power density electric motors in production, which generate a further 286.84kW. The battery pack in the C-X75 is capable of delivering more than 300kW.
The C-X75 can go from 0-160kmph in less than 6 seconds. The car's gearbox is also equally fancy - an advanced 7-speed automated manual transmission that allows gearshifts in under 200 milliseconds.
In addition to all of this, the supercar's deployable aerofoil and aerodynamics create more than 200kg of downforce at 321kmph.

The very first C-X75 prototype exceeded 321kmph in testing with ease, and the car has a theoretical maximum speed of 354kmph. Phew!
The C-X75 can also run for 60km in pure electric vehicle mode.
