Jeep Brings Seven New Concepts To 2022 Easter Safari

- Concepts based on the Wrangler, Gladiator and grand Cherokee
- Two concepts showcase all Jeep Performance Parts
- Concepts will be present at the 2022 Jeep Easter Safari
Jeep revealed seven new concepts for the 2022 Jeep Easter Safari including a second all-electric Wrangler concept in two years. The seven concepts comprised of five models from Jeep and two accessorised concepts from Jeep Performance Parts. Last years' Jeep Magneto concept made way for the Magneto 2.0, an even more powerful Wrangler EV, while Jeep also played around with the length and wheelbase of the cars for some of the concepts. Lets take a look.
Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0 concept

Compared to the 2021 Safari's Magneto concept, the Magneto 2.0 is not only more powerful but longer too. Jeep stretched the wheelbase of the regular two-door Wrangler along with giving it a lift kit and dressing it up with 20-inch wheels wrapped in massive 40-inch tyres. Further cosmetic changes include custom bumpers, carbon-fibre fender flares, prominent bonnet bulge and blue styling elements such as the body graphics, tow hooks and on the seat centre upholstery. Compared to the Magneto from 2021 power and torque is up a significant 285 bhp and 370 Nm to 625 bhp and 1,152 Nm. There's a manual gearbox too to send power to all four wheels!
Jeep Bob concept

Yes, Jeep actually calls the concept Bob and its not a mistype! Based on the Gladiator, the Bob concept features a shortened bed along with custom bumpers, massively flared wheel arches, no doors and a cargo-bed mounted spare wheel. Under the hood sits Jeep's familiar 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine upgraded with a new Mopar air intake. Other upgrades include new Dynatrac Pro-Rock 60 axles, upgraded springs and dampers, a lift kit and 20-inch wheels wrapped in 40-inch tyres.
Jeep '41 concept

The 41 concept is a throw back to the original Willys jeep from World War 2. Based on the Wrangler 4xe the concept is finished in what looks to be military green – including the 17-inch wheels – ans comes with a fabric roof and powder coated bumpers. There's a winch at the front too in case you get bogged down. This concept too has a small lift kit and sits on 35-inch mud-terrain tyres. The seats too are covered in canvas as a throwback to the original.

Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary concept
Jeep first used the Rubicon name on the Wrangler for the 2003 model year with the 2023 model set to mark its 20th anniversary. One of the more staid concepts here, the Rubicon is finished in grey, gets a 2-inch lift from jeep Performance Parts and 17-inch Mopar wheels. Other enhancements include a new exhaust, custom hood scoop and a power folding soft-top. The concept is powered by the Hemi V8 from the Rubicon 392.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk PHEV concept

A second rather staid concept, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk comes decked out with a custom roof rack, custom fog light bezels and 20-inch grey finished wheels and 33-inch mud-terrain tyres. Also part of the package is a disconnecting front sway-bar (improves wheel articulation) for enhanced off-road ability. Jeep's not made any tweaks to the PHEV powertrain though.

Jeep Birdcage from Jeep Performance Parts

The Birdcage is essentially a show and tell of just how you can soup up your Wrangler with aftermarket parts from the Jeep performance parts bin. Accessories include the custom bumpers, skid plates, a front winch, roll-cage mounted LED light vars, tail-lamp protectors and 17-inch bead lock wheels.

Jeep D-Coder concept from Jeep Performance Parts

While the Birdcage showcased an accessorised Wrangler, the D-Coder is a souped-up Gladiator. Jeep went to town on the accessories – all finished in red – from the front bumpers to the wheels, snorkel and even the tubular doors. Jeep says the D-Coder is loaded with 35 aftermarket accessories and for easy access to information each wears a QR code too.
