Land Rover Debuts The Evoque 'Ember' Edition

- The 2017 Evoque also features a 10.2-inch infotainment system
- Globally, the Range Rover Evoque has won a massive 182 awards.
- Land Rover also promises a host of customisation options for the Evoque
Ever since the Evoque made its global debut in 2011, it has garnered a sales figure of over 5.2 lakh units globally. It is by far the best selling Land Rover model ever and is still setting the cash registers ringing for the British brand. Also, globally, the Range Rover Evoque has won a massive 182 awards. As a commemorative gesture, Land Rover has introduced a special edition range for the Evoque, named 'Ember'. As is the name, the 'Ember' edition gets a red and black paint scheme which adds that extra oomph to an already good looking SUV. The roof of the special edition Evoque is done in a shade called 'Firenze Red' while the body has been painted in a shade called 'Santorini Black'. The other 'Ember' bits include a black exhaust tips, black grille, red tow covers at the front and rear along with satin black 20-in alloy wheels and darkened lamps at the front and rear.
The 2017 range of the Evoque will also feature the next generation InControl Touch Pro infotainment system which is a 10.2-inch tablet embedded on the dashboard and is customisable as well. The system is smartphone like, which means that one can swipe, pan and zoom for all the functions and apps that can be loaded. That rounds up the cosmetic changes in the Evoque.
Mechanically, the Evoque remains more or less the same, with the addition of a 'low traction launch' feature in Land Rover's proprietory All-Terrain System. This mode can be selected manually at the push of a button and what it does is, generate emough pull on surfaces where traction is limited. It controls the amount of torque that is distributed to the wheels and helps minimise wheel spin on slippery surfaces.
Land Rover also promises a host of customisation options for the Evoque on a variety of fronts. Right from automatic high beam assist, 12-way electrically adjustable seats to a Graphite design pack and over eighteen exterior body colours to choose from, Land Rover ensures that there will be a personal touch to every Evoque that is delivered to a customer. Deliveries will begin from September 2016. We are hopeful that Land Rover will bring the Range Rover Evoque 'Ember' to India as well. Till then, if you want to own one, you will have to head to Europe.
The prices for the Range Rover Evoque 'Ember' Edition start at £47,200 on the road while the prices for the regular Evoque starts at £30,600, a huge difference of 16,600 sterling pounds.
