- Lucid Motors is making 20 more units of the Dream Edition of the Air
- It is celebrating its record-breaking EPA range of 837 km
- The Lucid Air was unveiled at the New York Auto Show last year
Lucid Motors which recently was benchmarked by the EPA in the US for making the car with the highest range in the market has announced that it will be making more units of the Dream Edition of the Air than it had originally stated. The EPA had rated that the Lucid Air Dream Edition managed a record-breaking range of 837 km which is 185 km more than the Tesla Model S long-range edition. Even the performance edition of the Lucid Air managed 758 km of range in the EPA tests while the Grand touring edition of the vehicle managed 830 km of range.

Lucid Motors has announced that it will be making 20 more cars than it originally planned. Its Dream Edition was already sold out on its reservation page but now it has opened the configurator again. "To celebrate our record-breaking, EPA official 520-mile range achievement - we're increasing total production of the fully-reserved Dream Edition to 520 vehicles. This means we'll be able to custom build and deliver the world's most advanced luxury EV to a limited number of customers on the Dream Edition waitlist," Lucid Motors announced.

The EPA says it is the highest-rated EV in the US market
It has also added a new Zenith Red colour, something customers had asked for. "In response to a wave of customer requests, we are excited to now offer both Dream Edition models in the stunning shade of Zenith Red. So Dream Edition customers can choose from Zenith Red, Infinite Black, Stellar White, or the Dream Edition-exclusive Eureka Gold. Regardless of exterior color, all Dream Editions come with our Santa Monica interior theme," the company added.
In the US, the carmaker which is being led by Peter Rawlinson, the former chief engineer for the Model S at Tesla, is planning production preview events for customers, media, and other special guests. This event will happen at its Casa Grande headquarters in Arizona. Test drives will also be offered to these invitees.
