Mercedes-Benz GLC Compact SUV Imported Into India for Homologation

The Mercedes-Benz GLC has been imported into India for homologation purposes, according to reports, which means that the compact SUV is nearing its launch date.
The imported model is the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC version, which is equipped with a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that has a power output of 241hp and delivers 370Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 9-speed 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and comes with Mercedes' 4MATIC all-wheel drive (AWD) system.

The GLC is 4,656mm long, 1,644mm high, 2,096mm wide, and has a wheelbase of 2,874mm. The boot has a luggage capacity of 550 litres and, with the rear seats folded, 1,600 litres.

While Mercedes-Benz has not revealed any details yet, we expect the German carmaker to launch the GLC in India around July, 2016 after showcasing it at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo in February.
