Michelin Launches High-Performance Bicycle Tyres in India

With the rising awareness about health benefits of cycling, interest in the premium bicycle market has grown immensely in the modern times. Keeping this in mind, Michelin has introduced three bicycle tyre ranges, namely Premium Road Range, Mountain Bike Range, and City Trekking Range. This newly launched range has been designed to suit all kinds of cycling enthusiasts, from pro to the daily user and the adventure seeker.
Pradeep G Thampy, Commercial Director, Two Wheels, Michelin Asia, Africa and Middle East, said, "The premium bicycle market has witnessed significant growth in recent times. With rising consciousness about health benefits, cycling as a leisure and adventure activity will spur further growth in this market. Industry analysts estimate this segment to grow between 25-30% annually."

He added, "Our bicycle tyre ranges are unrivaled in performance, thanks to continuous innovations as they are engineered to meet demands of the most exacting cyclists. The newly launched range has something for every kind of cycling enthusiast the pro, the daily user and the adventure seeker."
The premium road range includes 5 tyres: PRO4 Service Course, PRO4 Endurance, PRO4 Comp Service Course, Lithion 2, and Dynamic Sport road. Next, the mountain bike range: it comprises tyres designed to take on tough mountain terrains - Wild Grip'R and Wild Rock'r. Finally, the city trekking range which lays emphasis on safety and defence that is required while trekking on wheels and offers two types of bicycle: Protek Max and Protek Cross.
Priced between Rs. 690 - Rs. 2,699, Michelin's new range of premium bicycle tyres can be accessed by customers through both, offline and online channels.
