MV Agusta Could Debut 2017 Four-Cylinder Brutale At EICMA This Year

- The four-cylinder Brutale could borrow is powertrain from the F4
- Expect to see the MVICS electronics package & a semi-active suspension
- MV Agusta is likely to introduce a three-cylinder special edition as well
While its three-cylinder models are relatively fresh, MV Agusta's four-cylinder models are in need of an update and this makes for the right time to introduce the same. The new Brutale is said to be one out of two new models, with the second being a special edition three-cylinder motorcycle based either on the F3, Dragster or Turismo Veloce.
While details are sketchy at the moment on the 2017 four-cylinder Brutale. It is likely that MV Agusta will be using the four-cylinder unit from the F4 superbike to power its street-fighter, albeit with a revised power output. You can also expect the new Brutale to be in-line with other street-fighter models in the segment and will be coupled with the bike maker's MVICS electronics package to get the best out of the performance. Furthermore, expect to see a semi-active suspension setup to make it to the 2017 Brutale.
MV Agusta is not in the best position with respect to its financial standing and does limit the company's options in terms of product development. Therefore, the update does emerge as important to keep up with competition.
Apart from the Brutale, MV Agusta will also update the F4 for the 2017 model year. So expect some minor tweaks to the litre-class superbike as well.
