The new Bajaj Avenger range that had started being dispatched to dealers across the nation earlier this month has finally been assigned a launch date. The domestic automaker will launch the new Bajaj Avenger bikes in India on October 27, 2015. The range will comprise 3 motorcycles including the old 220 DTSi version albeit with cosmetic updates.

Though the company hasn't revealed much details about the new Avenger bikes, word has it that the old 220 DTSi model will be called the 220 Cruise and will get a new exhaust pipe along with some chrome treatment. The Bajaj Avenger 2015 range's other 220cc model, the 220 Street, will get an all-black treatment, a new digital instrument cluster and graphics. Moving on to engines, the current generation Avenger comes powered by a 220cc unit - same as the one found on the Pulsar 220. We expect Bajaj to use the same engine in the new range too.

The third bike will be the Bajaj Avenger 150 - an entry-level cruiser.

Interestingly, with the launch of the new Bajaj Avenger range, the bikemaker hopes to sell about 20,000 units of the Avenger per month. The company's plans for the future also include several new additions to the Pulsar range such as the RS400, CS400, 150NS and 180NS.
