New Honda City e:HEV India Unveil Date Announced

- Honda Cars India will launch the new City hybrid next month.
- It will receive slight tweaks to its design.
- Expect a price tag of about Rs. 20 lakh.
Honda Car India will unveil a new hybrid version of its Honda City sedan on April 14, 2022. The launch date of the car is yet to be announced. The new Honda City e:HEV will be the first major launch for the company since it introduced the refreshed Honda Amaze in August 2021. The new Honda City hybrid model will feature a battery pack coupled to its 1.5-litre petrol unit, along with slight tweaks to its design to make it sportier than before. We also expect Honda to introduce a few, new features on the Honda City e:HEV sedan.

The Honda City e:HEV will be equipped with two electric motors and a small battery pack for its 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol i-VTEC engine.

The Honda City e:HEV will be equipped with two electric motors and a small battery pack for its 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol i-VTEC engine developing a combined output of about 110 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque that sends power to the front wheels via a dual-clutch automatic transmission. Honda will also offer shift-by-wire technology with the new City hybrid model, as well as feature three driving modes- EV, Hybrid, and Petrol, that can be toggled via a rotary knob.

The cabin will get an all-black interior.
In terms of design, the Honda City e:HEV sedan will receive a few elements that will heighten its sporty appeal and so would get sporty looking front and rear bumpers, black accents on the grille, ORVMs, and bumpers, while the cabin will get an all-black interior. The company will also give its features list an upgrade and so will now be equipped with Honda's Sensing Technology which includes a suite of active safety features. These are Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Auto High Beam Assist, Emergency Braking, and Front Collision Warning System.

In terms of design, the Honda City e:HEV sedan will receive a few elements that will heighten its sporty appeal.

Moreover, we also expect the new Honda City hybrid to receive Automatic Parking Gear Selection, Parking Sensors, Vehicle Stability Assist, 6-airbags, and Hill Start Assist, among others.
