New Maruti Swift Dzire Facelift Launched; Prices Start at Rs 5.07 Lakh

Maruti Suzuki India has finally launched the 2015 Swift Dzire facelift in the Indian market in the price range of Rs 5.07 lakh - Rs. 7.81 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While Maruti Suzuki dealers had started taking pre-orders for the updated model a week ago, the deliveries has commenced now.
Talking about the exterior updates, the 2015 Maruti Swift Dzire get a new single-chrome slat grille, fog lamps with chrome inserts, smoked head-lamps, revised bumpers and new alloy wheels. That said, the car still looks similar to the phased out model.
Just like the updated Swift, the Swift Dzire facelift too get engine start-stop button, electrically adjustable folding mirrors, updated music system, rear power socket and reverse parking sensors. While there are no major updates made to the exterior, with all the aforementioned features, the Swift Dzire facelift is certainly a more feature-rich car now.

Of all the changes the new Swift Dzire offers to its buyers, the most exciting one is its increased fuel efficiency. Though the engines remain same - 1.3-litre diesel & 1.2-litre petrol - the company has tuned both to return better mileage. Producing 74bhp, 190Nm, the diesel engined-model returns a whooping 26.59Km/l that makes it the country's most fuel-efficient vehicle. The petrol engine, on the other hand, returns 20.85km/l while churning out 83bhp and 115Nm.
"We present new DZire as India's most fuel efficient car returning fuel efficiency of 26.59kmpl," said R.S. Kalsi, Executive Director Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India.

"While the compact combustion chamber and higher compression ratio on gasoline engine helps to improve engine efficiency, the advanced thermal management system in diesel engine along with low friction engine oil and modified fuel injection system help diesel engine in faster warm up and lower frictional losses," he added.
