New Range Rover Sport Priced At Rs. 1.64 Crore, Deliveries To Begin From November

- Land Rover has revealed prices for only the diesel versions.

Within days from the global debut of the new Range Rover Sport, Jaguar Land Rover India silently revealed the prices, which start at Rs. 1.64 crore (ex-showroom, India). The new Range Rover Sport will come in four trims- SE, HSE, Autobiography, and First Edition, with deliveries to commence from November 2022. However, the prices are only for the diesel version, while the prices for the petrol option will be announced at a later stage. The new Range Rover Sport packs in a modern design and loads up with the latest features, making it the most advanced Sport from the marquee.

Globally, the new Range Rover Sport comes with electrified powertrains, six-cylinder Ingenium petrol and diesel engines using mild-hybrid technology, and an all-new V8 Twin Turbo. In India, the Range Rover Sport D350 comes with a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine producing 350s bhp and 700 Nm, mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission and Intelligent All-Wheel Drive. Then there's also the Range Rover Sport P400 mild-hybrid straight-six Ingenium petrol that develops 400 bhp from its 3.0-litre unit. This unit comes paired with the same gearbox. Range Rover would also offer the Sport P510e PHEV powered by a 3.0-litre six-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine paired with a 105 kW electric motor and a 38.2 kWh battery, producing a combined system output of 510 bhp.

The new Range Rover Sport features a sculpted exterior detailed with a stealth-like front grille and Digital LED lighting units, flanked by Daytime Running Light (DRL) signature. It sits above a sculpted, double-aperture lower bumper that incorporates a horizontal bisecting body-colour element that creates greater visual width, enhanced by black detailing. The rear incorporates a sculpted tailgate with a full-width feature bearing the Range Rover script with LED light graphics on. The shoulder line runs the length of the vehicle, accentuated by new lower fender details and the longest spoiler ever fitted to a Range Rover. The new Range Rover Sport delivers a drag coefficient of just 0.29. It sits on standard 21-inch alloy wheels; however, optional 22-inch alloys are also offered.

Alexa is embedded in the infotainment and can be activated by saying “Alexa”. The new Range Rover Sport also comes standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto and offers wireless charging as well. The cabin is clothed in new Moonlight Chrome upholstery, while the Meridian audio speakers are hidden behind the rear doors, as well as on the headrests.

The electronic active differential with torque vectoring is also tailored for both on and off roads.
The new Range Rover Sport also sees a huge upgrade to its off-road credibility as well as safety features. It now comes with an integrated chassis control that coordinates everything from the switchable-volume air suspension system to the Dynamic Response Pro electronic active roll control. It is regulated by a 48-volt electronic active roll control system and can apply up to 1,400 Nm of torque across each axle. The electronic active differential with torque vectoring is also tailored for both on and off roads.
