Okinawa Okhi-90 Electric Scooter Launched In India, Priced At Rs. 1.22 Lakh

Okinawa Autotech has launched its new electric scooter called the Okhi-90 and the model will be the brand's new flagship offering. Okinawa says the Okhi-90 was developed over a period of two years and is a first-of-its-kind offering in the EV space with 16-inch alloy wheels. The scooter promises a range of 160 km on a single charge with its 3.6 kWh battery, while the scooter uses a 3.8 kW belt drive electric motor. The company promises a top-speed of 80-90 kmph on the Okhi-90 but the big highlight are the 16-inch alloy wheels on the offering.
The Okinawa Okhi-90 is the brand's most premium offering yet and also comes with components like telescopic front forks, dual shock absorbers at the rear, disc brakes at the front and rear with combi-braking, and more. The electric scooter gets an LED headlamp and DRLs, chrome finished rearview mirrors, chrome inserts for a premium look, brushed aluminium finished alloys an LED taillight cluster. The model gets an aluminium swingarm.

The Okinawa Okhi-90 also comes with features like keyless start, music playback, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, app support, over the air (OTA) updates and more. The scooter also gets a side-stand indicator, and more. The company is offering the scooter in four colours - Wine red, Ash grey, jewellery blue, and glossy white. The Okhi-90 comes with a warranty of 3 years/unlimited kilometres. Deliveries of the new flagship offering will begin in about two months from now. Okinawa says it has invested about Rs. 40 crore in the scooter while the complete ecosystem including suppliers have invested about Rs. 150 crore.
