The Datsun Go hatchback was the first product from the Japanese carmaker to be launched in India. However, earlier in 2022, Nissan pulled the plug on the Datsun brand in India, thereby discontinuing all its models including the GO hatchback. While the car is no longer on sale in India, you can still find one in the used car market for around Rs. 2.5 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh, depending on the condition of the car. But, before you start looking for one, here are some pros and cons you must consider first.
The GO hatch comes with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine which is quite capable for city driving.
Pros
The cabin of the Datsun Go hatch is quite spacious. The fit and finish of the facelifted model are quite nice and well put together.
Depending on the variant you get, the GO hatch will get features like - a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electrically adjustable ORVMs, follow-me-home headlamps, LED DRLs, and more.

While things were better than the pre-facelift GO, overall, in terms of build quality, the Datsun Go doesn't feel very solid when compared to its rivals.
Cons
While things were better than the pre-facelift GO, overall, in terms of build quality, the Datsun Go doesn't feel very solid when compared to its rivals.
In terms of looks too, the car doesn't look very fresh. The newer models do get features like LED daytime running lamps housed within the front bumper, 14-inch alloy wheels, large taillamps, and muscular rear bumpers, but those elements are missing on the previous model which is more likely to be available in the used car market.
The 1.2-litre doesn't feel as punchy on the highway. So if you frequently plan long journeys, then the GO is not the car for you.
