Range Rover Sport SV Black Edition Unveiled

- To be showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, UK.
- Features a series of black styling cues.

Land Rover has unveiled the Range Rover Sport SV Black edition. Set to be showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, UK, this version as its name suggests, features an all-black theme inside out. However, under the skin, the model retains the same underpinnings as the standard Sport SV and is powered by the same BMW-sourced V8 engine. The company has stated that the model will be available to order later in 2025.

The cabin of the SUV gets black Ebony Windsor leather seats
On the cosmetic front, the Sport SV is painted in a shade of Narvik Black and features a series of black styling cues such as a black-painted carbon fibre bonnet, forged Black 23-inch alloy wheels, black brake calipers and black exhaust tips. On the inside, the SUV’s seats are upholstered in black Ebony Windsor leather and it sports a black finish around the dashboard and door panels.

The SUV, similar to the standard SV is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8
On the powertrain front, the Range Rover Sport SV is equipped with a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that develops 626 bhp and 750 Nm of peak torque. Power goes to all four wheels via the 8-speed automatic transmission with 0-100 kmph coming up in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 290 kmph. The SV also gets an all-new 6D suspension system that features hydraulic interlinked dampers, and height-adjustable air springs.
The Range Rover Sport is currently on sale in India, albeit, only offered with 3.0-litre petrol and 3.0-litre diesel engines. The more sporty SV variant was on offer in India previously, at a price tag of Rs 2.80 crore (ex-showroom), although this version is no longer listed in Land Rover India’s price list. While there is no word as of now, the company may bring the Sport SV Black Edition version to India.
