Renault Releases Teaser Video of the Car That Will Take On The Nurburgring
We told you about Renault's Under 8 project recently and now the French car manufacturer has released a teaser video of its upcoming hardcore Megane RS Trophy edition. The car is set to be fully revealed on June 16.
Seat, with the Leon Cupra 280, stole Renault's Nurburgring lap record for a front-wheel drive by lapping the circuit in 7 minutes and 58.4 seconds. This hotter Megane RS Trophy which Renaultsport is working closely with Akrapovic as well as Michelin and Ohlins, will be looking to better that time and regain the crown of being the fastest.
This Megane RS Trophy will get a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine with a significant increase in the output which currently stands at 263bhp and 360Nm. A set of sticky Michelin tires and suspension upgrades provided by Ohlins will allow the Megane RS Trophy to improve its current best lap time around the Nordschleife which stands at 8 minutes and 7.97 seconds.
