Skoda Superb Gets New Features And Equipment For International Markets

- The Skoda Superb will now have more connectivity options
- It also gets a bigger touchscreen infotainment system
- No news on the new features and updates for the Indian model
Skoda has recently rolled out updates for the Superb, in international markets. The company has said that it will offer a host of new features and equipment which include new security updates, comfort features and connectivity solutions. The Skoda Superb and the Superb Estate (international markets) will have the 'Care Connect' package as standard from Ambition trim upwards. In case of an accident, the 'automatic emergency call' will be activated and the car will dial up and try to reach the emergency services. Post-accident, the car will also send the location, data and other information to the required authorities. The emergency call can also be made manually through a button on the roof module. The other feature on offer is the Skoda Connect App. It can be installed on your smartphone and it can locate your car in a parking lot and also turn on the hazard lights and the horn.
(The Skoda Superb will now have a bigger touchscreen infotainment system)The next feature is the new 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system which gets Skoda's 'SmartLink+' feature. One can now use navigation, infotainment and connectivity apps from the car's system itself. Also, data can be transmitted from the car to the phone for evaluation purposes as well. Apart from this, the Skoda Superb will also have new driver assistance systems such as park distance control and manoeuvre assist. What these systems do is make life easier when you need to park the car especially in a tight spot.
(The Skoda Superb will now get more connectivity options)The Skoda Superb will also be getting an optional massage function on the driver's seat. The other features include memory function and ventilation. In order to improve the communication of the passengers in the car, Skoda has put a microphone which will transmit the voices of the front passengers to the rear passengers. In order to provide better acoustics, the front windows will now have an acoustic film between the two glass layers.
(One can activate the emergency call services with a button on the roof panel)Exterior updates include a new design for the 19-inch rims and a new body colour which is Velvet Red. This particular colour will be available for purchase later in the year. The side buffers will now have chrome strips and the cabin ceiling will be done in black, for a premium look. Not that the car does not look premium now.
There is no news on whether these updates will come to the Skoda Superb that is on sale in India, currently. We do hope that Skoda India gets these updates to the Indian model.
