Some Of The Newest Upcoming Electric Pickup Trucks

The automobile industry has always been changing, and with the recent advancement of technologies, 2022 shows promising results. Even though 2021 has been quite an exciting year for the automobile industry, 2022 has a lot more in store, especially for truck lovers.
More and more big-name truck manufacturers are rolling out their new electric models. If you are considering purchasing a new vehicle this year, you will definitely like this article. Further mentioned here are a few of the best and newest electric truck models that you should pay attention to this coming year.

Ford F150 Lightning:
This is one of the first all-electric trucks from Ford and takes on the very popular Ford F150. Being launched during the spring of 2022m, this truck is said to be priced somewhere around $40,000. As far as the specifications go, it comes with 426 horsepower and a range of 230 miles which is not at all bad.
However, there is also an extended version of this truck which can deliver 563 horsepower and can cover 300 miles on a single charge. Along with that, this truck can also tow up to 10,000 pounds. Both the standard and extended versions run on a dual-motor setup, with military-grade aluminium bodies and an all-wheel drive train.
It can reach from 0-60 mph in a matter of 4.5 seconds and comes with one of the most impressive front trunks in the whole EV industry. One of the things that make this truck quite an interesting buy is the intelligent backup power feature. This will provide up to 9.6 kW of energy that you can power tools, appliances, and even your house with during a power outage.
It is a lot quieter and cleaner than using a home generator. This truck also has outlets that can power electronic appliances. These outlets are located in the bed, trunk, and cab of the truck.

GMC Hummer Pickup:
The brand General Motors was discontinued after 2010; however, it is making a comeback with an electric sub-brand under the name GMC in the fall of 2022. Hummer was quite a popular model and is re-appearing as an electric alternative.
The first launch from this company will be that of an electric pickup truck and later be revised as an eSUV. The top-most model of the Hummer can deliver 1,000 horsepower as it uses three electric motors to power the car. On a single charge, the battery can last up to 350 miles, and the car can accelerate from 0-60 in 3 seconds.
Although only the pickup truck model is available now, GMC is planning to offer the Hummer EV2 in 2023, which has a slightly less powerful drive train and boasts two motors. The Hummer has a towing capacity between 7,500 to 11,000 pounds and comes with a payload capacity of 1,500 to 3,500 pounds. The car can charge in only 10 minutes and lasts for 100 miles. However, the price can vary, with $79,995 for the base model and up to $ 112,595 for the other.
Tesla Cybertruck

One of the most talked-about electric trucks of its time, the Cybertruck was launched in 2009 and has since caused a lot of buzz in the community. This vehicle is designed rather oddly, with sharp edges and an Ultra-hard 30x Cold-rolled stainless steel structural skin. It also boasts the tesla armor glass, which is essentially unbreakable.
With six seats, a towing capacity of 14,000 lbs, and a range of 500 miles, this is by far the best electric truck to have come out in the industry. There are a few different models of the car available in the community, with a single motor option that has rear-wheel drive and dual and tri-motor options that offer all-wheel drive. The three motor option has a top speed of 130 mph and can reach 0-60 in 2.9 seconds.
Although the car has already been teased in the market, it is not yet available for purchase and will be launched in 2022. However, that is only true for the more expensive dual and tri-motor versions. The lesser-priced single motor option will come in during late 2023. The prices for the single, dual, and triple motor models are $40,000, $49,900, and $69,900, respectively.
These are some of the upcoming electric trucks you should look out for this year. However, you should wait for them to be tested out before making a choice.
