  • Suzuki GSX-8T, GSX-8TT confirmed for 2026
  • Full reveal of new models expected later this year

Suzuki is planning to expand its middleweight motorcycle line-up with two new sport touring models. The two new models are expected to be the 2026 Suzuki GSX-8T and 2026 Suzuki GSX-8TT as confirmed in model certification documents. Documents filed with the California Air Resources Board confirm the two models for 2026, along with the current GSX-8R, GSX-8S naked sports bike, the V-Strom 800 and V-Strom 800 Touring adventure touring models.

The documents confirm that the new models will also be powered by the 776 cc parallel-twin engine, which puts out 80.68 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm of peak torque at 6,800 rpm. While it’s still not clear if these two models will eventually be launched in India, what is also not clear is how different the GSX-8T and the GSX-8TT models will be. The GSX-8T is expected to be the sport touring model, while the GSX-8TT could be a higher-spec version featuring standard luggage and more pillion comfort.

For now, there’s no other information of the upcoming Suzuki motorcycles apart from the model names. Considering both the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT will be more touring-oriented than out and out sporty machines, we expect minor changes in ergonomics, and possibly different bodywork, particularly in the fairing area than the current GSX-8R which is sold in India. More details are expected to be revealed later this year, possibly at the EICMA 2025 show in Milan, Italy.
