Tata Bolt Launched; Prices Start at Rs. 4.44 Lakh

Tata Motors has launched the Bolt hatchback and has priced it at Rs. 4.44 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Bolt is the company's next step towards making better products for India under the HorizonNext umbrella. The hatchback was first unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo and it's finally here.
Tata Motors had already started online bookings of the car and according to them they have received a great response. The Bolt hatchback still very much looks like the Indica, though the people at Tatas say that it is a different breed altogether.

The Bolt gets the same amount of equipment like the Zest. So, there is music playback which can be done via iPod connectivity, USB, Aux-In or the SD card slot, and there's Bluetooth streaming option as well. The Harman-sourced infotainment system in the Bolt is updated with video playback through USB or SD card. There are steering mounted controls too for more convenience. The interiors of the car bear resemblance to the Zest and there is loads of space just like the Indica.
The Bolt will get the 1.2T Revotron petrol engine which churns out 89bhp and the 1.3-litre Quadrajet engine that puts out 75bhp. Unlike the Zest, the Bolt will not get AMT in the diesel variant and the base variant will come sans any safety equipment like ABS and airbags.
The Tata Bolt hatchback is available in a total of 5 colour options, namely, Venetian Red, Pristine White, Platinum Silver, Dune Beige, and Sky Grey.
