Toyota had recently discontinued the Yaris sedan in India but it does not mean that the carmaker has withdrawn the Yaris nameplate from our market. Spy pictures of the Toyota Yaris hatchback have surfaced online and the Japanese carmaker is likely gearing up to launch the hatch in India, however, Toyota hasn't confirmed the news yet. The Toyota Yaris hatch is already on sale in global markets and Toyota launching it in India is bit of a surprise as it already has the Glanza for the premium hatchback market.

The Toyota Yaris hatch was spotted without any camouflage making the design element quite apparent. The bonnet looks quite sculpted and the grille is flanked by sleek headlights. Then it sports DRL eyebrows above the headlights and overall the hunkered down front end gives it a sporty stance. At the rear, it gets L-shaped taillights and the cluster insets into the tailgate. Then, typical elements like shark fin antenna and rear wiper are also apparent. The test mule is equipped with steel wheels but the production model is expected to be equipped with alloy wheels.
