Skoda India will unveil the Yeti facelift at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. Aiming to strengthen its grip over the SUV market, Skoda is planning to introduce the Yeti facelift sometime later this year. The 2014 Yeti facelift gets styling clues from the all-new Superb facelift as well as the Octavia. The new headlamps, redesigned front bumper, new bonnet design, the new front grille with embossed Skoda signature and various other cosmetic modifications give the Yeti a rugged and aggressive look.
The rear profile is managed by the trunk-lid with new triangular kinks, revised tail-lights and new rear bumper. The interior is all borrowed from its existing model. However, the new steering wheel, and marginally updated seat fabric and shades give it that additional oomph! The 2014 Skoda Yeti facelift will continue to come with the existing engine options. The 4x2 variant will come powered by a 2.0-litre diesel powertrain that churns out a peak power output of 108bhp while the 4x4 which gets the same engine is tuned for 138bhp.
Due to a limited demand for the automatic version, Skoda has decided not to bring the Yeti with an automatic transmission option in India, at least for now. The 2014 Yeti facelift is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 15 lakh (for 4x2 version) to Rs. 19 lakh (for 4x4 version).
