Ford GT Revealed; Will Get a 600+ bhp Delivering Twin-Turbo V6

The all-new Ford GT has been unveiled with a new twin-turbo EcoBoost engine which delivers more than 600bhp. It is perhaps the most important car to be showcased at the Detroit Motorshow because this one is a prelude to the production version, which will be introduced in 2016.
The design, though reminiscent of the original model, has been brought up to current standards suitable for, what Ford describes as, an ultra-high-performance supercar. It not only looks gorgeous, but has also been aerodynamically optimised to reduce drag and generate more downforce.
The upward-swinging doors is something new that we get to see on the Ford GT, granting access to the carbon fibre passenger cell, while at the back - there's an active spoiler that adjusts automatically in accordance to road conditions.

The engineers at Ford have installed aluminum front & rear sub-frames covered by carbon fibre body panels and all these lightweight measures will allow the new GT to exhibit one of the best power-to-weight ratios of any production car.
Well, there is no dearth of power since the new GT gets a new mid-mounted twin-turbo V6 EcoBoost engine under the hood. It suuplies over 600bhp to the rear 20-inch wheels wrapped in specially designed Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 tires via a dual-clutch 7-speed transaxle transmission.
Inside, the cabin is simple and functional. The F1-inspired steering wheel, a fully digital & configurable instrument cluster along with Ford's SYNC 3 infotainment system are hard to ignore. More will be known soon, so stay tuned!
