Isuzu Launches the D-Max Pick-Up Truck at 5.99 Lakhs

Isuzu had unveiled the D-Max Space cab at the 2014 Auto Expo and now the company has finally launched the pick-up truck in India. The D-max will be made available in three trims, with two cabin options and two deck options.
The D-Max single cab will be available at an introductory price of 5.99 lakh rupees (ex-showroom Mumbai) while the space cab variant and the flat deck variant will be on sale at 6.19 lakh and 7.09 lakh rupees (ex-showroom Mumbai) respectively.
The Isuzu D-Max comes powered by a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder intercooled turbocharged diesel mill that churns out 134bhp and 294Nm of torques from as low as 1800-2000rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The D-Max is capable of carrying a load of 1.2 tonnes.
Ordinary in terms of looks, the D-Max is built primarily as a Utility Vehicle. The top of the line Space cab variant however comes equipped with some good features. It gets a chrome grille, body coloured bumpers, power windows, central locking and steering tilt adjust. It also gets a cabin space of 1.5 feet behind the drivers and passenger's seat to store things.
Isuzu will be opening dealerships in Mumbai, Pune and Nashik, thus finally catering to the Western region of the country. Isuzu already has its presence mainly in the South Indian states including Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Madurai, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati & Cochin and now plans to expand to 60 outlets across India.
