2015 Nissan Versa aka Sunny unveiling on April 16 at New York Auto Show

Japanese carmaker Nissan will unveil the facelifted Versa (known as Sunny in India) on April 16 at the New York Motor Show. To be made available in four trims - S, S Plus, SV and SL, the 2015 Versa will be priced at Rs $11,990 (approximately Rs 7.21 lakh).
While the official unveiling is on April 16th, the company has disclosed details regarding the sedan. The 2015 Nissan Versa will have a bold front fascia with bigger headlights and chrome plated front grille and new fog light finisher design. The top-of-the-line SV and SL trims have received newly designed side mirrors as well, with latter having turn signals integrated. The SV trim aslo gets a set of 15-inch V-spoke alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the updated Versa receives a new centre stack shape, which is similar to that found on the Versa Note, a revised meter display with white LED display (previously orange illumination colour) and a new steering wheel with standard audio and Bluetooth hands-free phone system controls.
The Versa S and S Plus grade also get a wide AM/FM/CD audio system with standard auxiliary-in and Radio Data System (RDS), standard assist grips, a passenger-side vanity mirror and new seat fabric.

Nissan will also offer NissanConnectSM with navigation and Mobile Apps system, as part of the SL technology package, which also includes a 5.8-inch color touch-screen display. Nissan Voice Recognition for audio and navigation, SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link (SiriusXM subscription required, sold separately).
The 2015 Versa is built on Nissan's global lightweight "V" platform, and features a 1.6-litre HR16DE 4-cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power output of 109bhp at 6,000rpm and 145Nm at 4,000rpm. The 1.6-litre engine will be offered with a choice of three transmissions - a 5-speed manual transmission or 4-speed automatic (S models only), or a next-generation Xtronic transmission with D-mode step shift programming.
