2016 Chevrolet Beat Launched at Rs. 4.28 Lakh

The hatchback continues to be offered with steering-mounted audio controls and height-adjustable driver's seat on select variants. With that being said, the list of its new features comprises remote keyless entry with foldable key, addition of driver side airbag to the LT variant, body-coloured door handles, silver interior highlights on lower trims and two new colours, namely Pull Me over Red and Satin Steel Grey.
One must note, the new Chevrolet Beat's top-end variant will now be called LTZ, which was previously referred to as the LT(O).
Moving on to the additional safety features, while Chevy Beat's top-end variant will continue to sport front dual airbags and anti-lock brakes (ABS), it will now also add electronic brake force distribution (EBD) to the list.
Hardeep Brar, Vice President - Sales, General Motors India, said, "The Chevrolet Beat, one of GM India's best-selling models, raises the bar in the country's fast-growing compact car segment. The refreshed features complement the already distinguished styling elements in its segment, providing even more value to our customers."
He further added, "We are confident that the 2016 Beat with new features and appealing design enhancements will further strengthen our position in the marketplace. The new version was developed by carefully listening to our customers and enhancing it with smart new features and stylish looks."
The new Chevrolet Beat will be available with a choice of both, petrol and diesel options - 1.2-litre DOHC petrol and 1.0-litre TCIC diesel. The petrol unit develops 76.83bhp and 106.5Nm of peak torque, the diesel engine puts out 56.31bhp along with 142.5Nm of maximum torque. Their mileage is rated at 17.8Km/l and 25.44Km/l, respectively.
