- Day 3 saw riders traverse across the 315 km route in the marathon stage
- Aravind KP moved up on the leaderboard to 25th in overall standings
- CS Santosh could not finish the stage due to technical issues
Day 3 of the Oilibya Rally of Morocco 2016 brought tougher challenges for riders Aravind KP of team TVS-Sherco and CS Santosh of Hero MotoSports as they traversed the 315 km route in the marathon stage. Having finished an overall 26th on Day 2, CS Santosh was looking to progress further on the leaderboard, but his run was cut short after the Bangalore-based riders bike faced problems.
CS Santosh's 450cc Hero Speedbrain encountered problems after the fourth checkpoint of six and had to stop 185 km into the stage. The bike was then brought back to the team and is being inspected. It is not clear yet if CS Santosh will be able to continue in the rally or not.
